home about chris writing angling fishing diary photographs news links home ­ welcome to chris mccully's website. 2018 will be a significant year. chris's new translation of beowulf will appear from carcanet press ( http://www.carcanet.co.uk /) and a short collection of travel essays, sane places , will appear from the muscaliet press (http://www.muscaliet.co.uk/) . if he ever catches an estuary mullet on the fly and a tench in the river, chris will also complete his work on the angling, history and culture of the stour valley ( stour diaries ) and he will embark on a second edition of nomads of the tides . both these last titles are destined for the medlar press ( https://www.medlarpress.com/ ). chris will also continue work on projects relating to metrics and english verseform and is slowly putting together a new collection of poems (working title a few late wasps ) - pieces which will probably open a more extensive collected poems .
